Whitening
If your teeth are yellow, dull or stained, an in-office whitening treatment can clean away debris and give you a clean, bright, white smile. The careful application of a peroxide gel will protect your gums while whitening the enamel of your teeth. Persistent stains may need follow-up treatment.
Porcelain Onlays and Crowns
If a tooth is too damaged to be fixed with a filling, a porcelain crown or onlay can restore its function and appearance. Onlays cover only a portion of the tooth, while crowns cover the entire tooth to the gum line. The porcelain material closely mimics your tooth’s natural color and sheen.
Bridges, Dentures and Partials.
Missing teeth can be replaced with removable bridges, dentures, or partial dentures. Permanent bridges can also be put into place to fill in spaces between teeth. They are anchored by crowns or dental implants.
Semi-Precision Partials
These partial dentures are held in place with interlocking components rather than conventional metal clasps, which may be visible. The partial denture links together with a crown, providing a more secure fit as well as hiding the fact there is a denture in place at all.
Veneers
In cases of worn down, chipped, broken or discolored teeth, the surface of the tooth may be covered with a wafer-thin porcelain or resin veneer. Veneers can also do wonders on gapped teeth and teeth that are uneven, poorly aligned or misshapen.
Bonding
Dental bonding uses a white composite resin to “sculpt” a better smile. Cosmetic dental bonding can fix broken or chipped teeth, gaps between teeth, tooth malformations, and severe discoloration.
Cosmetic Dentistry
With today’s technology, there is no reason for anyone to have to hide their smile. Techniques and materials are available to whiten teeth, fix chipped and broken teeth, fill in gaps, and turn crooked, stained, and damaged teeth into a Hollywood smile. tooth to the gum line. The porcelain material closely mimics your tooth’s natural color and sheen.
Night Guards
If you suffer from the effects of teeth grinding or teeth clenching, your dentist can fit you with a night guard. This simple, plastic appliance when properly made can spare your teeth from wear and tear and also relieve soreness in the muscles and tendons of the jaw and head.
Root Canal Therapy
A diseased tooth may not have to be extracted. With root canal therapy, your dentist can clean out the infection and fit your damaged tooth with a natural-looking crown.
Extractions
The removal of a tooth may be necessary when decay or damage is too extensive to be repaired. In cases of tooth abscess, the extraction should be done quickly to avoid spread of infection that can lead to more serious health issues.
Dental Implants
An alternative to dentures and bridges, dental implants are replacement teeth that are attached directly to the jaw bone. In time, the bone grows around the implant, and at a later visit a crown is fitted to match your natural teeth. Dental implants are superior to dentures in strength, durability, aesthetics, and comfort.
Preventive and Periodontal Gum Treatment
Gum disease (gingivitis) should be treated promptly before it develops into advanced gum disease (periodontitis). In many cases gingivitis can be reversed with simple care. Periodontitis may require removal of plaque above and below the gum line (root planning) or gum surgery.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer is cancer of the lips, mouth or throat. Dr. Weinstein can examine you for signs of oral cancer, including lesions and abnormal cell growth. Early detection is key, and oral cancer risk is increased by many factors, including tobacco use, sun exposure, and human papillomavirus (HPV).
General Dental Consultations
Meet and discuss your dental concerns with a dentist who will listen to you and help develop a treatment plan to meet your needs. Our dentists will explain all of your options in language you can understand. Our goal is your satisfaction and a healthy, beautiful smile.
Oral Conscious Sedation
If you experience dental anxiety, we can give you a pill before your procedure to help you remain relaxed, but still wake. This safe form of sedation has helped many of our patients have a more pleasant visit. Another safe form of sedation, inhaled nitrous oxide is a mild sedative that creates a sense of well-being and relaxation during dental procedures. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off almost immediately after the mask is removed.
Mini Dental Implants
Mini implants are dental implants that are about half the size of regular implants and are used for small teeth and incisors. Mini dental implants are connected to the jawbone, but the procedure is less invasive. The crown is placed right away resulting in a solid, functional tooth with only one visit.
